Time to move on from June's Irish Chain Quilts, and choose another book to explore for the month of July.
The Book of the Month honor goes to Black & White, Bright & Bold,
a book that has been on my shelf for quite awhile. It's time to make some quilts from my extensive black and white stash.
Wish me luck, though, in getting a quilt done! With the 12 Days of Christmas hop coming up, it doesn't help that I have a lot of other projects in my head that need working out. I see lots of inspiration around me and wonder, how could I make that a quilt? There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to create, quilt, and deal with all the other stuff that goes with life. And it doesn't help that my arm is in a sling as I write this, due to stressing out my shoulder at the computer. It will be days before I can comfortably lift my arm again. Dang it!
Over the past 3 1/2 years, I've enjoyed introducing you to different books each month, making the quilts, and giving a brief book review. But due to the treadmill of life, I've been considering moving the Book of the Month feature to a quarterly schedule. My question is: how do you feel about that? Do you enjoy seeing a different book each month for inspiration, or do you have so many projects going that the ideas go onto the 'someday' list? I'd love to hear your feedback, as it will help me decide which way to go. So, please, leave a comment, and I'll let you know my decision next month. But for this month, look forward to a Black and White, Bright and Bold quilt!
Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend sewing!
