Midweek Makers #21

Time for another Midweek Makers!

Last week, Julie over at PinkDoxies was looking for a new way to describe quilts using random scraps, not liking a current term. I'm not going to repeat it - you'll have to read her post! After many suggestions from readers, the one that felt right was Second Chance quilts. I like it, and think it's a perfect name for those quilts using up random scraps, such as this one she created.

Julie, be sure to grab the 'Featured' button!

I need to work on my own second chance quilt from the scraps my mom sorted for me. But there's too much emotion tied up there, so they sit. Someday, when I'm ready.

And now it's time to party. Let's see all of those wonderful creations everyone is working on! I must say, since starting this linky party, I've enjoyed visiting blogs each week and seeing progress on all the various projects. Makes me feel I'm sewing along!

The guidelines for joining the fun are simple.

  • Please link directly to your specific post, not your main blog page.
  • Link any recent post that has to do with sewing and fabric.
  • Visit the other party guests and leave a comment. It's a great way to make new friends!
  • Grab the Midweek Makers button code to put on your post or sidebar to let everyone know about the party!

Have a fun time!

  1. Thank you so much, Susan. I'm thrilled to be featured here today. Quilts that rise from scraps seem to be very emotional buttons for us, and I also have some special scraps that haven't yet been touch. I'm sure there will be a moment each of us decides it's time, but they're doing no harm waiting on us. I do hope I get to see yours, though. I'm sure it will be beautiful!

    Thank you again,
    Julie
